In the evening
Sigmund Freud used to talk about human fascination of sizes. He would say ‘the bigger, the better’. Despite size matters, we don’t think about its psychoanalytical aspect.
In Poznań there is all big or great: Great Theatre, double Big Mac, we have big businesses, Emperor’s castle and ELSA. It is also Great Poland – our province! So NCM in Poznań is going to be... reply is obvious.
When the prospect of XL-size NCM was presented to us, all our muscles at once started to flex in order to work. Full mobilisation amid our members. We took the shovels out of the sheds, found the pickaxes, started to work 2 times quicker, the bells rang in every church and organisation of the event came on and on very swiftly. We can’t reveal all the details, so you will get to know only the highlights...
During NCM in Poznań there will be held 3 parties. According to commonly known motto of one of our friends: ‘we work hard, but play even harder’.
Thursday, October 26th: XL-sized Party
Have you ever felt tiny and overwhelmed by the reality? Perhaps your sweetheart has suggested you that size matters? If it’s true, it’s high time to change it! It’s time for XL-sized Party!
Just imagine that you’re heading towards an XL-sized building with the inscription ‘ELSA’ on its facade. Passing through the gate you’ll see the letters XL carved in styrofoam. They announce the biggest party you have ever been at. Inside you’ll find enormous bottle of champagne, glass, tin of coke, all waiting for you. There will be XL-sized chess game, draughts and bowling pin for intellectual entertainment fans. Apart from it a woodden scene for DJ, big microphone danging beneath the ceiling and specially invited Blady Chris [these of you who haven’t known him yet will have that opportunity].
This piece of information should be long enough by now, however one may talk albout big things for sizes... pardon... for hours.
Friday, October 27th: Bal Masque
During masquerade ball the teacher ordered the children to take their masks off. Then children took them off. The teacher was passing around the children and said:
- Johnny, come on, take your mask off.
Johnny replied: - I had already done it.
One child spotted it and said: - What a kisser.
Like at the royal court the invited guests in evening dresses and suits will dance to the music embracing the hall on the 2nd day of the NCM. Dancing partners will look at each other’s eyes with some kind of mystery since their faces are hidden under masks.
Recalling past years... we gathered here to celebrate 40th NCM, so... may the ball begin!
